We share ante-natal and post-natal care with our Community Midwife, telephone Nottingham 8761890. The midwife runs some ante-natal clinics at Sherwood Health Centre, but they are based at Southglade Health Centre.
Karen Mettam and the HV team work with us giving general health advice and support to the parents/carers of young children. The Health Visitors have an open drop-in clinic on a Tuesday afternoon from 12 noon till 1pm at the Sherwood Health Centre for the under 1s.
At the end of November this is changing to Thursdays.
In line with this we will be changing our baby vaccination clinic to Thursday mornings from January 2019

Baby and Child Immunisations
We run a clinic on Tuesday afternoons between 11am and 1pm, for babies and children to have their injections and developmental checks. Appointments can be made at reception, or by phoning us on 9858822.

We strongly recommend that children should have the full course of immunisations on offer to protect against infectious diseases which can cause death and disability.
We work with a team of District Nurses, who visit patients requiring nursing assistance at home. They can be contacted by phoning 8831400. Patients recently discharged from hospital should have their home nursing arranged by their hospital nursing team before they are discharged.
Please tell us if you are a carer or if someone cares for you so that we can offer the help and support you may need. Please ask at reception for a form that will let us know of your details.
In some circumstances it may be that you or the doctor may prefer to have a chaperone in the room during examinations. There is no question of the doctor being offended if you wish to have a chaperone in the room. You may either bring a friend or relative, or a trained member of staff will be happy to provide this service for you.
Sexual Health Services
We are offer a sexual health check-up to everybody aged 15 to 24.
This is just for people without symptoms and will look for infections such as chlamydia. It does not involve an examination, but involves just a simple urine test for men; and women take their own swab.
If you would like to go ahead with a check-up, please book an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses.
Dr Foxwell will fit and remove contraceptive implants, and Dr King fits coils. If you would like to discuss either of these methods of contraception, please arrange to speak to them by phone.
***** New service***
We are now able to supply free condoms to people aged 15 to 24, under the C-Card Scheme. If you would like to register for the scheme, please make an appointment with our nurse Heidi.

Also............Please note that they will not routinely sign passport forms.
